Shutter Speed
Shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter stays open for
It is really important to remember that the bigger the amount of light that is going into the camera, the longer time the shutter stays open for (e.g. the lower the shutter speed). The less light that gets into the camera (The faster the shutter closes)
Shutter speeds are classed as 1/8th of a second in new digital cameras. The shutter speed includes the following: 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, each one of them is a fraction of seconds. Within this series, each speed is half of the shutter speed that is to the left of it.

Fast Shutter SpeedA fast shutter speed can be used to create a fantastic sport pictures at amzing moments.
A fast shutter speed can be used to create stunning sport pictures at critical moments. On the left is a picture of a person is on a surfing board on the water. It shows the person is surfing because the waves are moving behind him. If you were to take a normal picture, the person would be blurry and the water would be clear as the person is surfing. On the other hand the option of the shutter speed can be changed to make the picture unrealistic.
