Campaign Photography
A picture that speaks a thousand words for the young people volunteering for the photography campaign. Many of the young people didn’t feel that people listened to them, and found it difficult to describe how they felt through words so they just used campaign photography.
Anti Bullying Campaign
The reason why I picked the anti-bullying campaign is because bullying is a major thing that happens all too often around the world and mostly in schools. I feel really passionate about bullying because people shouldn't get bullied.
In this picture I can see three people bullying one person. It looks like he was minding his own business and having his lunch and three pupils begin bullying him. The reason why I think this picture is powerful is because the guy that is getting bullied is in focus and you can see his emotions in the photograph, he is upset and fed up; also the people in the background are blurred out. The photographer has used a medium depth of field because you can still see what they are doing. It looks like he wants to get on with his learning but people are getting in his way. The composition of the photograph is strong because the photographer cropped everything out and just put the pupils in the picture.
Anti Gang Campaign
The reason why I picked this photograph is because it shows a lot of emotion and it portrays a story.
I think that this picture is really powerful because it shows a lot of emotion. The dull sky shows you that she lives in a miserable world and it gives a depressing effect to the whole image. The girl's facial expressions explain how she feels and show she looks depressed. It looks like she's all alone in her own world and she has no one to go to. There is a dead body underneath her and I believe the photographer could be trying to show that this is her dad, they have set the murder scene in a playground which normally shows fun and innocence but here it is a deathly place where gang life has impacted on the lives of children. The photographer used a large depth of field in this photograph to add a feeling of empty space around the child.
Anti Racism Campaign
I think that this picture is powerful because it shows that people always stereotype against black people and all races. This picture is also effective because the persons face explains how he feels even though he expresses little emotion. This picture is set to a medium depth of field of (f16) because only part of his face and body is in focus. The photographer has used Photoshop to add the search bar and cropped it out and placed it on his mouth, I believe they have done this to represent a gag so the person is unable to speak out against the racist views on google, the sentence that is unfinished in the shot could be the man’s opinion. The quote at the bottom of the photograph stirs your emotions and makes you think!
Anti Bullying Campaign
The Anti-bullying campaign is a campaign that aims to stop bullying in schools and all around the world. I also feel really strongly and passionately about people getting bullied because it happens behind closed doors. In my photo-shoot I will try my very best to make my photographs powerful and will try to get the message across to everyone around the world by using lighting effects and strong camera angles.
Plan
- Where: In a bathroom/ dark room
Angel: flash light on the side of the face to create shadows on the other side of the face.
Place: Up close picture with a small depth of field
Make up: Bruises (black eye)
Background: Dark background
In my shoot I will be using a dark background which will be set in the bathroom. I'll be using a flash which I will place on one side of the face so I can create a shadow on the other side, one side of the face will have a bruise that is made using make-up. The person will be stood up when I am taking the photograph. The picture will be a close up to make all the bruises visible and show definition. I'll be using a small depth of field because I want all the focus to be on the person, to give an effect that the observer is watching and witnessing domestic violence.
In this shoot i want to capture shadows and use Photoshop to edit the.
